Am I Vetted?

To coach any team or work within the club grounds you must be Garda vetted through the Club via GAA, LGFA or Camogie associations, even if you are already vetted through a different organisation, e.g. a school. It is your responsibility to complete vetting every three years and be aware of your vetting status.

To Validate your vetting status you can complete the following steps:

If you are vetted then you will have submitted an application with an email address.

  1. Search your email, including spam folders, for any email from this address: evetting.donotreply@garda.ie

  2. You should find a number of emails from this address, but if you cannot find any emails from this address then you are not vetted, please follow the vetting process and do not coach until the process has been completed.

  3. The most recent email from this address should look like the image below, which indicates your vetting was completed. Please take note of the date of that email. If it is older than 3 years then please follow the vetting process and do not coach until the process has been completed.

  4. If the email you find does not indicate a completed vetting then your vetting application may be in progress. Take note of the application number in the email and go to the tracking website and enter this number and your date of birth. If you get an error it means your application never completed and expired. If the application is in progress you will get an update.

  5. If you cannot find a valid application or a valid completion email then please follow the vetting process and do not coach until the process has been completed.

  6. If you have a completed email it will have an attachment (pdf). This is your letter of vetting and you must be able to present this if asked. See an example below.
